Welcome to St Michael le Belfrey Church, a vibrant Anglican (Church of England) church in the centre of York. St Michael's has an overall congregation of 800 people, praising God through Jesus with different styles of Sunday service.
Our aim is to Bring In and see people come to faith in Jesus, Build Up our congregation in that faith and Send Out people to spread the good news elsewhere. In everything we do we place a high emphasis on the Bible, on worship & prayer and on building relationships.
St Michael le Belfrey Church is normally open 11.00am to 3.00pm Mondays to Fridays and on Saturdays when weddings and other events permit. Opening times are sometimes longer in summer. Visitors are always welcome. Do contact the Parish Centre on 01904 624190 if you want to check that the church is open before your visit.
Want to know more about the meaning of life? The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith with no pressure or expectations. Registration has opened for the next course which starts on 1st October.
